Film Svadba, redatelja Igora Šeregija, postao je vrlo popularan još prije premijere.
Gotovo 70 000 ulaznica prodano je unaprijed, što pokazuje veliki interes publike.
O čemu je film?
Glavni likovi su Ana (Hrvatica) i Nebojša (Srbin). Upoznali su se u Londonu, zaljubili i očekuju dijete. Kada svojim obiteljima kažu za svoju vezu, roditelji reagiraju negativno. Problem je njihova različita nacionalnost i činjenica da nisu vjenčani.
Dvije obitelji žive u Zagrebu i Beogradu i imaju tradicionalne stavove. Zbog toga nastaju mnoge smiješne, ali i napete situacije.
„Naši“ i „vaši“
Anina obitelj je vrlo domoljubna i tradicionalna. Nebojšina obitelj je modernija, ali i oni imaju snažna mišljenja o nacionalnosti. Kada se obitelji susretnu zbog vjenčanja, njihove razlike stvaraju sukobe — ali i mnogo humora.
Film se šali sa stereotipima na obje strane. Ipak, to čini s toplinom i ironijom, a ne s mržnjom.

Svadba nije samo film o hrvatsko-srpskim razlikama. To je film o ljudima i o tome koliko su zapravo slični. Na kraju su ljubav i obitelj važnije od politike ili predrasuda.
Wedding – A Comedy About Love and Prejudice
The film Wedding, directed by Igor Šeregi, became very popular even before its premiere. Almost 70,000 tickets were sold in advance, which shows strong public interest.
What is the film about?
The main characters are Ana (a Croatian woman) and Nebojša (a Serbian man). They met in London, fell in love, and are expecting a baby. When they tell their families about their relationship, the parents react badly. The problem is their different nationalities and the fact that they are not married.
The two families live in Zagreb and Belgrade and have traditional views. Because of this, many funny but also tense situations happen.
“Us” vs. “Them”
Ana’s family is very patriotic and traditional. Nebojša’s family is more modern, but they also have strong opinions about nationality. When the families meet for the wedding, their differences create conflict — but also a lot of humor.
The film makes fun of stereotypes on both sides. However, it does this with warmth and irony, not hate.
